On this episode, I sat down at my kitchen table with local Santa Barbara runner, Paul Cuthbert, to chat about his recent summer mountain adventure. Paul set out on a somewhat spontaneous roadtrip, where he ended up climbing 18 high mountain peaks in 18 days. He travelled through 5 states in his reliable “lifted Prius,” which also served as his home on the road. He took us on a deep dive into his journeys, telling stories of childlike joy, peaceful meditation, and white knuckling anxiety. Take a listen for fun, engaging mountain storytelling.
Its also well-worth checking out Paul’s Strava profile to see the pictures and stories he posted from his trip. Here is a link to his strava:
Additionally, at the end of the episode, we mentioned Paul’s involvement in The Speed Project this year. There was a phenomenal documentary put together by Will Floor, focused on Paul’s team’s experience. It’s available on Will’s YouTube channel. Here is a link to watch – it’s well worth it.
